What the service is

UPSC Setu is a study tool for UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination preparation. It provides past year questions, answer explanations, thematic breakdowns of those questions, practice tests, and a personal notes area.

We are not affiliated with the Union Public Service Commission. We do not guarantee any examination outcome. Question and explanation content is prepared for study purposes and may contain errors; please verify anything you rely on against official sources.

Accounts

You need an account to use the service. You sign in with Google or with a one-time link sent to your email address — we never ask for or store a password. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and for activity that happens under your account.

One person, one account. Please do not share your account or your sign-in links.

Free and paid access

The question bank and every answer explanation are free, permanently, with no usage limit. We do not intend to move them behind payment.

The free tier additionally includes, as lifetime allowances:

• Thematic breakdowns on 5 questions
• 5 saved notes

A paid subscription removes both limits and adds the test builder and thematic breakdowns on your test analysis. Current pricing is shown on the upgrade page.

These allowances are counted for the lifetime of the account rather than reset monthly. Deleting a saved note does not return the allowance.

Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in Indian Rupees through Razorpay, our payment processor. By subscribing you authorise a recurring monthly charge until you cancel.

The first 500 subscribers receive a discounted rate, and that rate remains fixed for as long as that subscription stays active without interruption. If a founding subscription is cancelled and later restarted, the then-current price applies.

Access is granted when payment is confirmed by Razorpay, not at the moment you submit payment details. If a payment fails, we keep your access active for a short period while the payment is retried rather than cutting you off immediately.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. Your access continues until the end of the month you have already paid for, and is not renewed after that. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

When a subscription ends, notes you have saved and thematic breakdowns you have already opened remain readable. You simply cannot add new ones beyond the free allowance. We do not delete your study material because you stopped paying.

Acceptable use

Please do not scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute the content; attempt to circumvent payment or usage limits; or interfere with the service's operation or other users' accounts. We may suspend or close an account that does these things.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change features, and we may change pricing for future billing periods — existing subscribers will be told in advance, and a founding rate stays fixed as described above.

If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
